Austria is one of the most important European countries from a musical point of view. Mozart, Haydn, and Schubert were born there, and composed there. From the pens of these three composers we have some of the best-loved classical and romantic music of all time.

Vienna is the city of waltzes, where the waltz king, Johann Strauss, was born and where he composed the Blue Danube, and all his other famous waltzes and polkas. On New Year's Day every year, the festivities and concerts from Vienna are broadcast on live TV and radio to many countries around the world.
