Albinoni
Return to List of Composers
Tomaso Albinoni was born in Italy in 1671. This composer belonged to the Baroque period, and died in 1750.
Albinoni
Tomaso Albinoni (1671-1750) was born in Venice,
the son of a prosperous paper merchant. Tomaso then ran the busines himself, while also composing a great deal of music,
which was popular in his time. However, not much of it is heard these days. The Adagio attributed to him is based on a
tiny fragment which he had written, but most of the Adagio was written by a 20th century musicologist.
