De Falla is well known for his use of traditional Spanish music in his own music.
De Falla was born in 1876 in C�diz, Spain and he
died in Argentina in 1946. He is
the most distinguished Spanish composer of the early 20th century.
Falla took piano lessons from his mother and later went to Madrid to continue
studying the piano and composition. Then he spent several early
years in Paris, where he was influenced by Debussy
and Ravel. He subsequently became a leading nationalist composer in his country,
Works include the
operas and ballets - La Vida Breve, El Amor Brujo, Noches en los Jardines de
Espana, El Sombrero de
Tres Picos.
