Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962) was an Austrian violinist and composer, born in Vienna. He became world famous as a performer, with his expressive phrasing and sweet tone, with considerable use of vibrato and rubato. He spent 10 years in USA 1914 to 1924, returned to Europe to live in Berlin then Paris, then at the outbreak of world war II again he returned to the USA where he lived the rest of his life.
