I know that my Redeemer Liveth from Messiah Handel Help Opus Details
For feedback and questions, please contact Victor Gomersall.
This beautiful aria, I know that my Redeemer Liveth, from the Messiah, for soprano and orchestra, is very lightly scored by Handel. The first two notes which are set to the words I Know, are the dominant followed by the tonic, giving a very definite and solid feel to the opening of the aria, emphasizing the certainty of the knowledge. The mp3 recording features a real soprano, but in the MIDI rendition, the soprano is played by the flute.
