Fountains of Rome - the Fountain of Valle Giulia at Dawn Respighi Help Opus Details
For feedback and questions, please contact Victor Gomersall.
Resphigi wrote three orchestral tone poems about Rome, namely The Fountains of Rome, The Pines of Rome, and Roman Festivals. This tune is the first Flute theme of the Fountains of Rome, which is by far the most tuneful of the three works. Resphigi was influenced by Debussy and Ravel from the French Impressionist style, and in a big way by Richard Strauss.
